The countryside is celebrated this week - for the first time in this scale

The Rural Parliament 2017 is the right rural supervisory weekend; The event will gather Leppävirta for more than 600 participants for the week to discuss, learn and network. For the delicious treats of the Sabbath season, you will get acquainted with all the open Harvesting Corps, so the number of visitors is estimated to be close to one thousand rural friends.

The event takes a bold look at the critical social issues of today and the future and raises them to the agenda of the day, presents great success stories, and promotes dialogue between rural actors, decision-makers and media.

The country's parliamentary program is versatile: 16 interesting tours, 34 workshops and seminars, and four major high-profile discussions. In addition, it is possible to meet rural actors in the Rural Parliament with Partner Counselor. The Maaseututarlamentti also publishes a recent Rural Review 2017 gathering fresh statistical and research data and the first national rural policy statement.

- The Rural Parliamentary Event has been organized in the field of rural policy twice before, in 2005 and 2011 in Helsinki. Both events have been one-day events in the seminar session. A three-day event such as Sweden with excursions and workshops was now being sought, highlighting the event hostess and Secretary General of the Council of Rural Policy Christell Åström .

The arrangements for the country's parliament have been in good spirits. Of this, Åström especially commends the coordination team responsible for planning the event for the implementation of the whole. Last year's arrangements culminate this week in the rural supervisory weekend.

- The goal of the Rural Parliament is to raise rural affairs and rural perspective to the national political debate and the center. In addition, we want to inspire new people to participate in rural networks. This is a serious matter in a fun and constructive way, sums up the idea of the Åström Rural Parliament 2017 event.
